ASSOC. PROF. DR. KAZIM SEDAT SİRMEN

Assoc. Prof. Dr. K. Sedat Sirmen is a legal academic whose work focuses on private international law, citizenship law, foreigners law, international procedural law, international commercial arbitration, international family law, and aviation and space law.

After graduating from Ankara University Faculty of Law, he completed his LL.M. at Ankara University Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Private Law, with a thesis titled “Nationality of Aircraft”. He later completed his Ph.D. at the same Institute and department with a dissertation on conflict of laws arising from insurance contracts within the scope of loss insurance.

Sirmen began his academic career in 1998 as a Research Assistant at Ankara University Faculty of Law, Department of Private International Law. He continues his academic work at Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Law, Department of Private International Law.

As Of Counsel at Gençoğlu Partners, Sirmen provides academic and strategic guidance in matters involving private international law, citizenship and foreigners law, international procedural law, international commercial arbitration, and aviation law.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Aerospace Technologies Application and Research Center and the Arbitration and Mediation Application and Research Center, both established within Eskişehir Osmangazi University.
