The 2nd ISTAC Future Arbitration Counsel Competition was held as Turkey’s largest arbitration moot court competition with a total participation of 282 students!
The Competition took place on 28-29 April 2018 at Istanbul Bilgi University, with a participation of 47 teams and 282 students. In the competition, the students made oral presentations representing both claimant and respondent within the scope of the petitions they had already prepared in the earlier months of hard work and studies. The competition ended with the final pleadings which Bilkent University was ranked first. Bilgi University followed as second and Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University followed as third runners up.
Alongside the participant teams, many esteemed colleagues also served as arbitrators at this very competition, including; the President of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations Prof. Dr. Metin Feyzioğlu, the President of ISTAC Dr. Ziya Akıncı, Atty. Dr. İsmail Esin, the Secretary General of ISTAC Dr. Candan Yasan Tepetaş, the Secretary General of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations Atty. Sabiha Tekin, the President of the Çorum Bar Association Atty. Altan Akpınar, Prof. Dr. Yeşim Atamer and the managing partner of our Firm Atty. Mehmet M. Gençoğlu.
